Every weekend our handmade patties are baked approximately every 30 minutes and always served warm to ensure the best experience for our customers. In addition to our famous patties, we sell fish cakes and fresh cut plantain chips made to order and enhanced by our custom-made Caribbean sauces.

Mr. Cutters was founded two years ago by Chef Samuel Branch, an Institute of Culinary Education Alumni, inspired by a NY Times article about the new food movement in Brooklyn. After years of preparing lavish meals in New York City restaurants, the Hamptons, and the homes of celebrities, Chef Sam, the self-proclaimed “Pattie King,” returned to his roots to recreate the flavors he’s most passionate about and showcase the amazing snack foods of the Caribbean Islands.
The company started with the cutter sandwich, a popular street food in Barbados and has since evolved to offer patties, fish cakes and plantain chips. With our patties as our main product, Mr. Cutters aims to be the premiere artisanal Caribbean snack brand in the US.
And how exactly did this Barbadian Chef come to conquer the elusive, predominantly Jamaican trade of pattie making? Well, to make a long, difficult story short: he watched the best in the business carefully guard their secrets but still had the audacity to figure it out on his own through a lot of researching and trial and error. Chef Sam’s journey to make the best pattie was fueled by his appreciation for this great, classic Caribbean snack and perfected by the use of local & sustainable ingredients and the elimination of additives such as MSG & artificial food coloring.
The difference you taste in our patties resonates throughout our brand. Our snack foods are truly artisanal, carefully crafted by hand, in small batches, with an intense focus on flavor.
